No. If there is a last-second name switch, you need to update your online registration information via Eventbrite and let us know immediately. We require that your identification matches the badge.

Buying, Selling, and Trading

How much is convention merchandise?

It varies between items like 24oz Cups to Hoodies. See our Merchandise page for more info (Coming Soon)!

What is the Flea Market?

Players like you can purchase a table to sell their excess games at our designated Flea Market. It occurs only one day of the con, and tends to be very popular! It will be Saturday at 11 am, check the convention book for the location.

What is a Virtual Flea Market?

The Virtual Flea Market is an online sale page. People will list the games they have for sale, and then you can tell them what you would be willing to pay for it. At the convention you will exchange the game for the money.  There will be a specific time and place to meet to exchange your games, but you can arrange to do it before that.

What is a Math Trade?

Math Trade is a feature of BoardGameGeek.com. It features an algorithm that automatically finds trades between a large number of gamers. Plug in what games you want, and what you have to trade, and then just show up at the con to collect!  There will be a specific time and place to meet to exchange your games, but you can arrange to do it before that.

Gaming & Events

Can I join the Dice Tower Convention Crew?

Absolutely, although we may hit a limit on how many we may be able to have aboard. Visit the Dice Tower Convention Crew page for more information.

What are the benefits of demos vs events?

A demo is a game run to teach new players, and will be shorter. An event you will get to play, but may also learn from the other players. An event will supply as many people as we have copies of, so if you have a copy of the game, please bring it.

How do I participate in a tournament?

First, you must already know how to play the game. A registration desk is available at the convention to signup for all events. This will let you know when and where the event is happening. Take a look at our Events Page. Multiple rounds may be played until there is only 1 winner! There will be ribbons (and potentially prizes) for 1st to 3rd places.

Are games provided?

We have what we call the Game Library, a large collection of games you can sign out for. We only ask that you take good care and return them the way you found them.

Can we bring our own games?

Of course! We encourage it! The con provides a massive open gaming area.

How many games can I borrow at once?

Just one. Note that Child Badges do not have the ability to check out games. It is expected that you are courteous to others and return the games in a timely fashion.

What is “All Night Werewolf”?

Werewolf is a popular social game of deceit and deduction. Around 11pm every night (excluding Sunday) we begin playing, and quite often people will keep playing new rounds all night long!

How does the Children’s Gaming Area work?

From 1PM – 5PM each day, children ages 6 and up with a Child Badge will game together, supervised by convention staff and parents of those children, in the Curacao Rooms 5-8.

Children will need to be signed in and out of the area by a parent or guardian, and must be registered with a child’s badge to be permitted into the children’s area.

There will be a volunteer present to supervise and help with gameplay; however, a child’s parent or guardian must be present in the convention space at all times.

No snacks, meals, drinks or other assistance will be given by volunteers in the children’s area.

This is not a babysitting service; each attendee is responsible at all times for their child.

For additional questions, contact Danielle Dickson (danielleldickson@gmail.com).

For more information, see our Family & Children Gaming page.

How does the Family Gaming Area work?

The Family and Children’s gaming area will be the Curacao Rooms 5-8 inside the convention center.

Family gaming is also available in the Children’s Gaming Area, from 8AM – 12PM each day. This area is open for unsupervised gaming to all families with children.

A parent or guardian must be present and supervising in the family area at all times. This is not a babysitting service; each attendee is responsible at all times for their child.
