We at Dice Tower Convention have a zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment. We are dedicated to keeping our Attendees safe, and we will ban offenders from our functions permanently as a result of their inappropriate behavior.
Here is our official policy:
We pride ourselves in having a family-friendly convention and will not tolerate unacceptable behavior. Unacceptable behaviors include: vulgar, intimidating, harassing, abusive, derogatory, discriminatory, or demeaning conduct by any Attendees and Con Crew of Dice Tower Convention and its related events and functions. Some Dice Tower Convention venues may be shared with members of the public; please be respectful to all patrons of these locations. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces; deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of events; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Engaging in any of these acts puts you at risk for immediate removal from the convention, and a permanent ban from The Dice Tower Convention in the future. This goes for anyone regardless of gender indentity.
We are aware of the accusations that were made about members of the board gaming community recently and have had several people reach out to us about it. Anyone who has experienced sexual harassment at Dice Tower Con is urged to reach out to Molly Malcolm-Goltry, Patrick Havert, Lori Havert, Allen Enyart, or Tom Vasel directly. It can be Facebook, email, or in person. We take these matters very seriously. Nobody should ever feel as if they are unsafe. We are here to help, and we will do everything we can to make sure that every single matter is addressed.
If an incident occurs during our Convention, please go to Registration, and ask for a Staff member. Registration is closed at night, but the Library is always open. We have Staff members available to help address situations. Staff members are available between 8 am and 7 pm at Registration. Please send a Facebook Message if an incident occurs after these hours.
We will also have harassment complaint forms at both of these locations if someone should need them. These will have envelopes and will be confidential to everyone but Staff. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any further questions or concerns. Everyone’s safety is our concern.
